Sudipta Chakraborty is one talented actress whom contemporary Bangla cinema has largely been unable to use. Though she had bagged the National Award (for Rituparno Ghosh's "Baariwaali" some years back, she is mostly seen in television soaps. Her screen outings are few and far between, and that too are mostly small supporting roles. I hope the directors take note of her abilities, and I sincerely hope she gets many a meaty role in the future.
I absolutely agree with you. We all hope to see more of her on the big screen. Although, I must say that some of her telefilms have been too good.
